Nama Urban Farm

Cultivating Food. Empowering Communities. Sustaining the Future.

Our Story:

Freshness as it is.

Derived from the Japanese word "Nama" (meaning fresh or as it is), we began during the pandemic as a mission to bring sustainability and agriculture into the heart of the city. Today, we are an urban agriculture social enterprise that transforms underused urban spaces into thriving, climate-smart green hubs. By leveraging indoor farming techniques and collaborating with local partner farms, we now supply over 150 restaurants, hotels, and culinary schools across Metro Manila. Beyond the harvest, we empower displaced mothers through agricultural training, helping them gain leadership skills and a seat at the table in local food advocacy.

Our Promise:

Dear Chefs and Partners, thank you for trusting Nama Urban Farm. Our promise is simple: we grow only naturally, ensuring every stem is hand-grown with care using environmentally friendly methods. We are dedicated to supporting the farm-to-table movement by providing premium produce that reflects the passion and values of how it was grown. We hope you enjoy our harvest as much as we enjoyed growing it for you.

Vision:

To revolutionize regenerative agriculture by transforming unused urban spaces into smart, productive farms — empowering mothers to grow fresh, high-quality, premium crops through innovative farming techniques.

Mission:

We grow more than just crops—we grow community. Through innovative urban farming, educational empowerment, and advocacy rooted in care, we cultivate fresh, sustainable produce while nurturing deep connections to food, people, and the planet. By uplifting mothers as leaders and inspiring mindful eating, we sow the seeds of a healthier, more connected future for all.

We cultivate not only high-quality crops but deep roots in the community by:

Using smart-farming techniques to grow fresh & sustainable urban produce
Supporting mothers as leaders in local food advocacy & nutrition
Creating educational campaigns that empower families with food & sustainability
Inspiring mindful & meaningful connections with what we eat.
